Masterstroke if BJP CM changes, why hit wicket if Congress is removed?

To put an end to the Punjab Congress, Captain Amarinder Singh finally had to resign from the post of CM. There is only 5 months left for the assembly elections and it is believed that many opponents of Captain were born within the party. Apart from this, the party decided to replace the Captain with a plan to cut the anti-incumbency of the last four and a half years. Before the elections in a state, the country saw a major reshuffle last week, when Bhupendra Patel was made the CM of Gujarat after abruptly resigning from Vijay Rupani and his entire cabinet is now new. What the BJP did in Gujarat and Uttarakhand with the intention of winning the elections, the same Congress is now doing in Punjab, but still there is a need to understand the difference between the two situations.
Masterstroke if BJP CM changes

Sometimes BJP changed CMIn March, the BJP had made Lok Sabha member Tirath Singh Rawat the chief minister in place of the then Uttarakhand chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. Tirath Singh Rawat was also removed four months after he was made the chief minister in July and two-time MLA Pushkar Singh Dhami was given the responsibility of chief minister. After Uttarakhand, BJP replaced BS Yeddyurappa in Karnataka and handed over the command of Chief Minister to BS Bommai. After this, the party has made Bhupendra Patel the next CM instead of Vijay Rupani in Gujarat last week and the entire team of Rupani has also not found a place in the new government.

Captain Amarinder became synonymous with Congress in PunjabBJP has changed CMs in three states this year. It started from Uttarakhand where Tirath Singh Rawat was made CM after replacing Trivendra Singh Rawat. However, in place of Tirath Singh Rawat, the party eventually had to hand over the responsibility to an MLA, Pushkar Singh Dhami. The latest major reshuffle was seen in Gujarat where Bhupendra Patel has now taken over the post of CM and Vijay Rupani was removed from the post of CM even before completing his term. But a major factor that separates Punjab from the situation in these two states is the unpopularity of BJP chief ministers. Both Trivendra Singh Rawat and Vijay Rupani were not leaders who had a good hold among the people or whose face has become synonymous with BJP in their respective states. However, the Captain is still the face of the Congress in Punjab. When the Congress was facing defeat all over the country, the Captain had proved that there was no other leader of his stature in the Punjab Congress by winning the 2017 Punjab elections in a big way.

Yeddyurappa was a hit yet how did BJP remove him?Karnataka is the only state where BJP has appointed a new CM by replacing the popular face i.e. BS Yediyurappa. Yediyurappa is considered a stalwart leader of the Lingayat community. In such a situation, BJP handed over the command of Karnataka to Basavaraj Bomai, another strong leader of the same community, as his replacement. Not only this, Basavaraj is also considered a trusted lieutenant of BS Yediyurappa. It is believed that it was Yediyurappa who proposed Basavaraj's name as the next CM. At the same time, despite the open opposition of the Captain in Punjab, Navjot Singh Sidhu was made the State Congress President and there is also a possibility that Sidhu can also be made the next CM of Punjab.
