Pakistan's clarification on the seized container in Gujarat - there was no radioactive element inside

On Saturday, Pakistan said that the containers seized by the Indian administration were empty. A joint team of Directorate of Customs and Revenue Intelligence (DRI) had recently seized several containers from a foreign vessel at Mundra Port on suspicion of carriage of dangerous goods. Pakistan said the containers were empty but before that they were used to transport fuel from China to Karachi.
The Pakistan Foreign Ministry has issued a statement in this regard. Earlier, according to Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ), the confiscated containers were sent from Karachi in Pakistan to Shanghai in China and were not sent to Mudra Port. On behalf of the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, it was said that the containers were empty and the cargo was absolutely dangerous. It has been told from Pakistan that the fuel was to be used in the K-2 and K-3 nuclear nuclear power plants in Karachi. It has been said on behalf of Pakistan that the talk of radioactive material seizure which was being said from the Indian side was a wrong report.

Earlier, in a statement from India, it was said that the goods were listed as non-hazardous category while the confiscated containers were marked with hazardous category 7, indicating radioactive substances. APSEZ said, “A joint team of Customs and DRI seized several containers from a foreign vessel at Mundra Port on November 18. These containers were seized on suspicion of carriage of dangerous goods without giving any information.
