Where the whole world is troubled by the corona pandemic. At the same time, there are some countries which are still denying the claim of having corona virus. According to Johns Hopkins University and WHO, there are five countries including Turkmenistan from where no cases of corona have been reported. Three of these are isolated islands and the fourth is North Korea. North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has also denied the presence of Corona in his country. Experts believe that the governments here may be hiding the truth, which may set ablaze the efforts to deal with this epidemic.
1. Claim of the President of Turkmenistan - not a single case
The oppressive President of Turkmenistan with a population of 6 million, Gurbanguly Berdymukhmedov, has termed reports of corona in the country as fake. He claims that there is not a single case of corona in the country. Gurbanguli, in his address to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, said that the steps to be taken regarding Corona should not be politicised. Gurbanguly has been the President of Turkmenistan since 2006.

Experts said - the country is struggling with the third wave
On the other hand, independent organizations, journalists and activists outside Turkmenistan say there is strong evidence that the country is facing a third wave. Which is overwhelming the hospitals and killing dozens of people. These people are underestimating the threat of the virus on the President to maintain his good image in the public. Ruslan Matev, exiled from Turkmenistan and editor of the Netherlands-based independent news organization Turkman News, said that he had personally collected the names of more than 60 people who died of corona. These include teachers, artists and doctors. Matev said that he verified the health records and X-rays of all the recorded deaths and found that these people had severe lung damage. Also, these victims were treated according to the corona virus.
Neighboring country Iran is battling Corona
When the Corona epidemic started in the beginning of the year 2020, Turkmenistan is claiming that it has no case of infection. While neighboring Iran, which shares a very long border with Turkmenistan, is severely affected by the epidemic. According to WHO, so far 5.5 million people have been infected with corona in Iran. "You look at what's happening in other countries in the region and how Turkmenistan could possibly be so different from these," said Russell Denber, deputy head of Europe and director of Central Asia at Human Rights Watch. 2. Experts deny North Korea's corona free claim
North Korea has also told the WHO that it has conducted corona tests of thousands of people in the country, but during this time not a single case of infection has been reported. While the neighboring countries of South Korea and China have so far reported lakhs of cases of infection. In such a situation, experts have also questioned the claim of North Korea. In 2020, North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un imposed a ban on all foreign tourists on 23 January and declared a state of emergency a week later.
Strict measures implemented in February
In early February, South Korea denied the claim of having a corona infection. But implemented strict measures such as closing the schools from 20 February. In the same month, North Korea banned travel by road and sea along with international flights and made masks mandatory. After this, on March 18, Kim Jong ordered the construction of new hospitals. But said it was related to improving the country's health system. However, during this time he did not make any mention to Corona. At the same time, by the end of the month, the government had quarantined ten thousand people.
