AAP will take out 'Tiranga Yatra' in Ayodhya, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh will be involved

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will take out a "Tiranga Yatra" in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya on Tuesday. The "yatra" will be led by Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, both of whom reached the city on Monday and offered prayers to Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman. This 'Tiranga Yatra' will be taken out in the city from Gulab Bari to Gandhi Park.

Earlier, Sisodia and Singh, whose first day's schedule included meetings with saints, shared pictures from their Ayodhya visit on Twitter.

AAP's "Tiranga Yatra" is taking place at a time when it is trying to enter Uttar Pradesh for the assembly elections next year. The Arvind Kejriwal-led party began its state-wide "yatra" in Agra on 29 August, and also organized events in Noida on 1 September. In the coming days, the program will also take place in Lucknow, the capital of UP.

In August, AAP had announced a "Tiranga Yatra" in Uttar Pradesh to mark the 75th year of India's independence. Tuesday's program is taking place when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Aligarh today to lay the foundation stone of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University. PM Modi's visit is being seen by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as the start of its campaign for the assembly elections.
