Responding to Congress spokesperson Shrinet's statement, former Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said, "Yes, there is no place for anger in politics. But is there room for humiliation and harassment in such an old party like Congress?' According to a tweet by Amarinder Singh's media advisor Raveen Thukral, "If this kind of behavior can happen to a senior leader like me then I wonder what happens to the workers. After resigning, Amarinder Singh had said that he was feeling humiliated.
Congress targeted:
Congress objected to the statement of former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. Amarinder Singh on Wednesday reportedly termed Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as "inexperienced" and said he would field a strong candidate against Congress' Punjab unit president Navjot Singh Sidhu in the upcoming assembly polls.
