Major crackdown on Islamic fundamentalism in France, 6 mosques and 10 organizations will be closed

The French government is going to take strict action against those who spread radical Islam in the country. The country has started a campaign against those spreading 'radical Islamic propaganda'. The government is in the process of closing six mosques and organizations that propagate radical Islam in the country. Interior Minister Gerard Darmin has given this information on Tuesday.

He told the newspaper Le Figaro that intelligence agencies suspect that two-thirds of the 89 religious places are engaged in spreading "fundamentalism". These have been investigated since November 2020 and now the work of closing six mosques has started.

Not only this, the government will also request the closure of Islamist publishers 'Nawa' and 'Black African Defense League' (LDNA). Darminin reported that Nava, located in the southern French city of Arige, 'incites the Jews to exile and incites homosexuals to pelt stones.' He told that this organization supports hatred and discrimination.

Apart from this, the same organization had protested in front of the US Embassy in Paris in June last year regarding police violence. Not only this, the minister told that 10 such organizations will be closed in the coming year, out of which action is going to be taken on 4 only next month.

Last week, France's highest administrative court, the Council of State, approved the government's move to shut down organizations against mass Islamophobia in France (CCIF) and the city of Baraca.
