That is, the burden on medical resources in these states has reduced. The important thing is that the number of active cases or treated patients has come down in such states which were wreaking havoc at the peak of the second wave. These states are Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Apart from this, active cases have also decreased in five union territories. Experts believe that the role of vaccination is behind this improvement, statistics are also confirming this.
UP: More vaccines than America, Corona under control
According to the Kovid-19 India Tracker, there are only 184 treated patients in Uttar Pradesh at present and the test positivity ratio has remained 0% continuously since July 5. Whereas this rate was 19% in April, the month of the peak of the second wave. Uttar Pradesh has controlled the infection very fast, in which the contribution of vaccination is visible. It is the country's highest and fastest vaccination state. According to UP government data, in September so far, the government has administered an average of 11.76 lakh doses every day. Whereas in America only 8.09 lakh doses are being administered every day. So far 8.69 crore doses have been applied here, which is the highest.
States with low active cases are included in the top five of vaccination
Apart from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat are the states which are included in the list of top five states for vaccination. In this, Uttar Pradesh is at number one. Gujarat is at number three, Madhya Pradesh is at number four and Rajasthan is at number five. If we talk about the status of infection in these states, then the test positivity ratio remains 0% in all the six states. This means that even after adequate tests are done in the field, very few samples are confirming the infection. On the other hand, in the five union territories of Andaman and Nicobar, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Ladakh and Lakshadweep, the infection is very weak and the level of vaccination is better than the population.
