Congress government was not formed in Goa because of Digvijay? Former CM Felero wrote a letter to Sonia after the resignation

Former Goa Chief Minister and Navelim MLA Luizinho Felero on Monday resigned from the assembly membership and then the Congress membership. It was only after resigning that Falero wrote a letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhi which created a ruckus. In fact, in this letter, Felero, without naming the party's senior leader Digvijay Singh, alleged that due to him the Congress government could not be formed in Goa in 2017. Falero alleged that after the 2017 assembly elections, the Congress had the support of 21 MLAs needed for a majority but was stopped by the Congress in-charge from approaching the governor.

Let us tell you that in the year 2017, Digvijay Singh was in charge of Goa Congress. Former Goa CM Felero said that 17 Congress MLAs had won under his leadership then, besides an independent MLA was also in support of the Congress. With the support of a total of four MLAs, the Congress had 21 MLAs, that is, the majority figure. Falero alleged that the in-charge stopped him from approaching the governor and asked him to wait until the support of 24 legislators.
After this BJP formed the government by collecting the majority figure. In a letter to Sonia Gandhi, Felero said that he felt cheated and shocked by the developments. Fellero said that in the last four-and-a-half years, the Congress has been reduced from 18 MLAs to just five in Goa. No action was taken against those responsible for 13 MLAs leaving Congress and joining BJP. Falero said that the Congress was not left in Goa for which he fought. That's why he is resigning from Congress.

Let us tell you that after leaving the Congress, there is a strong possibility of joining the Trinamool Congress. Even before resigning from the legislature on Monday, Fellero called Mamata Banerjee a street fighter and also said that only Mamata Banerjee can challenge the BJP. TMC has also announced to field in Goa assembly elections to be held next year.
