Punjab: Former ministers started crying after being cut from the cabinet, raised questions on the party's decision

Ahead of the first cabinet expansion of the Charanjit Singh Channi-led Congress government in Punjab, many leaders have openly expressed dissatisfaction and displeasure. Many leaders, who were ministers in the Amarinder government, have questioned the party's decision after the leaf was cut.
Earlier, some Congress leaders have written a letter to State Congress Committee chief Navjot Singh Sidhu appealing not to include Rana Gurjit Singh in the cabinet. These leaders have said that Rana Gurjit Singh is a "corrupt and tainted leader of Doaba". The leaders also demanded that a Dalit leader of clean image should be given a chance. He has also sent this letter to Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi.

A few minutes before the cabinet expansion, Balbir Singh Sidhu and Gurpit Singh Kanger, who were ministers in the Amarinder government, held a joint press conference and asked the party what was their mistake, due to which they have been removed. Balbir Singh got emotional saying this and asked, "What is my fault after all?" Kanger also asked the same question.
