Rahul Gandhi is looking for a new team of young leaders, Congress's hope will be fulfilled by Kanhaiya Kumar?

To strengthen the party, the Congress, which is facing internal strife in many states, is now looking for such faces, who can cross its shaky boat. Rahul Gandhi is looking for a new team of youth leaders. In this sequence, Congress is assessing the profit and loss for the inclusion of former JNU Students Union President and CPI leader Kanhaiya Kumar. If sources are to be believed, it is being said about Kanhaiya Kumar that he is constantly in touch with Congress and may join the party soon.

Sources said, "Kanhaiya Kumar will serve as an important youth face of the party in Bihar and will play his role at the national level as well." If sources are to be believed, Kanhaiya Kumar had recently met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to discuss the matter. Sources close to Kanhaiya Kumar claimed that he has met Rahul Gandhi on several occasions. The discussion regarding Kanhaiya's role in the party is in the final stages.

Congress is believed to be planning a national movement against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). For this, influential youth have been identified and Rahul Gandhi is forming a team of these youth leaders to counter the huge vote base that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has got.

Rahul is looking for new young faces

Earlier this year, Congress suffered a major setback. Jitin Prasad and Sushmita Dev had resigned from the primary membership of the party. While Jitin Prasada joined the BJP, Dev became a part of the Trinamool Congress (TMC). Rahul Gandhi is in talks with other youth leaders including Gujarat Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Jignesh Mevani to revive the party and bring young faces to the fore when many veteran leaders are leaving the party.

RJD camp may be angry

Sources also told ANI that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), an ally of the Congress in Bihar, is looking at the recent developments about Kanhaiya Kumar joining the party negatively. Meanwhile, some party leaders are also of the opinion that Kumar's entry into the party may not be beneficial due to Kanhaiya's involvement in the alleged case of raising 'anti-national' slogans in JNU in 2016. Presently Kanhaiya is a member of the National Executive of the Communist Party of India (CPI).
