Amid speculations about cabinet expansion and organizational reshuffle in Rajasthan, senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Friday met former party president Rahul Gandhi and general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. This meeting of former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Pilot with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi comes days after the dramatic developments in Punjab,In which Congress replaced Amarinder Singh with Dalit leader Charanjit Singh Channi as the Chief Minister of the state.
Pilot had also met Gandhi last week. He met Rahul Gandhi at his residence on Tughlaq Road in Delhi on Friday and Priyanka Gandhi was also present during this. Congress general secretary and party in-charge of Rajasthan Ajay Maken had said last week that the roadmap for cabinet expansion and organization reshuffle was ready in the state. "Had Ashok Gehlot not fallen ill, we would have expanded the cabinet and the roadmap is ready for the appointment of board, corporation and district heads," he had said in the press conference.
