Indian PM Narendra Modi arrives in Glasgow to attend the COP26 Jaivayu Summit. Here he has said in a meeting with Israeli PM Naftali Bennett that the people of India deeply value friendship with Israel. He has spoken of working together to enhance the strong bilateral ties between the two countries. Indian Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar is also on a visit to Glasgow along with PM Modi.
In a video tweeted by PM Modi, both the leaders are seen laughing and smiling. PM Modi has said in a tweet that we will continue to work together to build stronger bilateral relations and a better planet. The people of India attach great importance to friendship with Israel. Israeli PM Bennett has described the meeting with PM Modi as very good.
Let us inform that recently Subramaniam Jaishankar was on a tour of Israel where he had invited Israeli PM Bennett to visit India. According to Israeli media reports, Bennett may visit India in early 2022. India and Israel have elevated their bilateral ties to a strategic level in recent years. The strategic partnership between the two countries has been increasing since the visit of PM Modi to Israel in 2017. Both countries are working on a large scale in many other areas with military cooperation as well as innovation and research sector.
