Pakistan's name has once again appeared in the list of countries with special concern for violation of religious freedom. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has given this information. Along with Pakistan, special concern has also been expressed about the Taliban.
Earlier, the Trump administration first placed Pakistan in this list in December 2018 and retained it in 2020 as well. Now the Biden administration has also placed Pakistan in the list. Pakistan has been listed for allegedly engaging in or tolerating serious violations of religious freedom.

Blinken said in a statement that Myanmar, China, Eritrea, Iran, North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan were designated as countries of particular concern for engaging in or tolerating serious violations of religious freedom. I am nominating. He has further said that I am placing countries like Algeria, Comoros, Cuba and Nicaragua on the special watch list where serious violations of religious freedom are being seen.

Blinken reported that al-Shabaab, Boko Haram, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, Houthis, Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, Islamic State-Greater Sahara, Islamic State-West Africa, Jama'at Nasr al-Islam Wal-Muslimin and the Taliban designated as Institutions of Special Concern. He has said that we will continue to put pressure on all the governments to bring necessary changes in their laws to preserve this freedom and take strict action against those who violate it.
