Pakistan PM Imran Khan has told that the government is in talks with the banned organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Criticism is being made about this in the world along with Pakistan. Recently, Imran Khan had said that he is in talks with some people of TTP so that they can lay down their arms and bring them under the ambit of the country's constitution. Imran has described this as the beginning of the reconciliation process. He has said that he is expecting a settlement from talks but nothing is clear yet.
Pakistan's opposition parties have targeted Imran Khan for giving apology to TTP. It has been said that the meaning of granting apology to TTP is like sprinkling salt on the ashes of the families of the dead martyrs. Opposition parties say that why the Parliament of Pakistan was not taken into confidence on such a sensitive issue.
After the questions being raised on the Imran government, Pakistan's Union Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has given a clarification. He has said that Pakistan has passed through a river of fire and blood. We have lost thousands of people. It is because of these sacrifices that we have defeated terrorist organizations like Al-Qaeda. Fawad Chaudhry has said that recently President Arif Alvi had said that he can grant pardon to some TTP members if they are not involved in armed group and criminal activities.
TTP is committed to Taliban
The TTP welcomed the Taliban occupation of Kabul and reiterated its commitment to the Taliban. Said that we look forward to stronger relations between the two Taliban. The purpose of the TTP is to establish the Islamic rule of the Taliban in Islamabad and in this episode, it continues to carry out attacks in many areas of Pakistan.
Reports suggest that terrorist attacks in Pakistan have increased since the arrival of the Taliban in Afghanistan. Pakistan has seen at least 35 terror attacks in August alone, in which 52 civilians have been killed.
