Bangladesh Police said the latest violence took place in the southern city of Begumganj. Earlier, hundreds of people from the majority community took out a procession on the road after Friday prayers on the last day of Durga Puja. During this, more than 200 protesters attacked the ISKCON temple, when the people of the Hindu community were about to organize a rally on Vijayadashami. Unknown assailants thrashed an executive member of the temple committee and stabbed him. Local police chief Shahidul Islam told AFP that the body of another Hindu man was found on Saturday morning near a pond next to the temple. "Two people have died since yesterday's attack. We are looking for the attackers," he said.
